St. Mary School
Service Projects
St. Mary School, in Frankenstein, is rich with generations of Catholic heritage, promotes high standards and nurtures academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Students participate in a service project each advent season. Several projects are nominated and then voted on to determine the winning project. This year students collected non-perishable food for the Good Shepherd Food Pantry. Previous projects included a bake sale to benefit the Allen Waterman Animal Assistance Fund, mailing Boxes of Joy to underprivileged children, and purchasing farm animals through Heifer International & the Pet Project out of Columbia.
Throughout the year students also participate in local activities such as decorating sugar cookies for Frankenstein shut-ins and the quilters and Christmas Caroling in . Students frequently handmake and write cards for various reasons for our neighbors and supporters.
